The
response to our Shakespeare Metamorphic Library
Chair and Steps has been very exciting, with
several already being ordered. Incorporating
timbers from near his birthplace and favourite
alehouse, felled by a forester with ancestry
linking him to Shakespeare, there are so many
features that a book could easily be written
about it. The metamorphic action demands such
accuracy that only the world's finest craftsmen
could reliably produce such a piece to such a
quality. Such is the design and craftsmansip that
it can only be described as fuctional art. The
fine inlays in the back panel capture the romatic
spirit of Romeo and Juliet. The hand carving
depicts London in the Shakespearean period and
textural gems are carved into the steps. In response to customer
requests, we have introduced other pieces in the
range including bookends, library table and a
lamp table.

As a limited
edition, each is individually numbered and
presented with a certificate signed by the
craftsmen.A presentation celebration is currently
being organised for the summer on 2006.
