Sir Steve
Redgrave is one of an elite few people. As a winner of 5
consecutive Gold medals, he is widely recognised as Britain's greatest
Athlete. We at Stewart Linford
believe this feat deserves to be commemorated by including
him in the great heroes featured in our limited editions. He
joins the ranks of such illustrious people as Admiral Lord Nelson,
William Shakespeare and Winston Churchill.
As this local
hero is a patron of Stewart Linford’s furniture we felt that
we could approach him for his permission in this project.
Not only is he honoured for us to immortalise his success in
a limited edition chair but he is very active in the design
and creation. Sir Steve will sign each unique numbered
certificate and will attend a presentation party for chair
owners to meet him.
Inspired from the
classical art of the ancient Greeks the design is elegant
and timeless. The curves make it appealing to the eye whilst
also providing great comfort. Hand carving on the top rail
completes this truly exception work of art.
As well as owning
a piece of history you will own an antique of the future.
All Stewart Linford Limited editions are numbered and
strictly limited. Previous completed limited editions have
been over subscribed and now command a premium. As with all
Stewart Linford furniture you can rest assured that we give
a lifetime guarantee.
Early interested
is so strong that orders have been placed before we have
even completed the artist’s proof. This unprecedented
interest will only get stronger as interest in Sir Steve and
athletics crescendos. Numbers are rapidly being taken and to
ensure you get your desired numbers we recommend that you
reserve them as soon as possible. When the first
finished chair was previewed at the 2008 Henley Regatta the
interest and feedback confirmed that this is another winner
bearing the Redgrave name,
