Limited Editions

The Jubilee Chair No 1 en route to Her Majesty The Queen

We offer a small range of limited editions, incorporating rare timbers associated with famous people in unique designs made to exceptional levels of craftsmanship.

The rich story of England provides a fertile background for the creation of Stewart Linford Limited Editions. The past has inspired him to make pieces of furniture which will become the antiques of the future.

History is naturally recorded in the annual growth rings of ancient oaks, yews, elms and other native timbers. On the rare occasions these mature trees become available, some very special pieces are built at High Wycombe to capture the unique character and provenance of the wood.

The strong interest in Limited Editions has established a demand that exceeds supply. Previous examples such as the Naseby Bergere Bow, The Royal Windsor, The Storm Nest of Tables, the Millenium Armchair and the Jubilee Chair were all quickly fully subscribed. Examples are already fetching substantial premiums on the rare occasion that they do become available to those who missed the original opportunity.

Lord Nelson

is celebrated in the Admiral's Chair which includes rare timbers actually from HMS Victory, Lord Nelson's flag ship.

The original armchair was rapidly fully subscribed. The more recently introduced sidechair has availability. Chart tables, telescopes and some other pieces are also available. Please contact us for further details.

Winston Churchill

The huge vote for Churchill as the Greatest Briton indicates the popularity of the great leader, and demand is already very high for the strictly limited edition of only 125 of these magnificent chairs.

The Windsor Armchair incorporating timbers from Blenheim Palace with the hand carving capturing the Churchillian spirit. The secret compartment, whose construction includes brass from World War 2 shell cases, is equipped with a humidor, gold plated cutter, and filled with three of Churchill's favoured cigars.
